Get out your Brenda Buchanan for the 54th or your Rural Dems T-shirt! And put on a fancy hat to celebrate Derby Day or your henin (princess hat)! The Rural Dems are, once again, marching in the 2026 Oberlin Big Parade which is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 starting at 12:00 pm. The official theme for this year is "Ye Olde Big Parade," featuring medieval-inspired costumes and floats including knights, princesses, jesters, and dragons. 

This annual event is a community-wide celebration that begins with participants assembling at the Mudd Parking Lot at 11:00 AM and proceeds down West College Street between Cedar and Main streets.
